The software has been designed as general product for surveillance hybrid platforms working at the same time with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the same appearance and controls on the local and distant computers. Customers see MPEG coded video and have complete control of the software through net that surveillance pc can be run without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular composition extensively increases reliability because all units act as autonomous programs. If one part stops working, other units continue working. For instance if the `capture` unit fails, `watchdog` starts again it right away that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture through a `playback` part. The program performs `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be turned on by movement, human face detection, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance computer as well as on distant computer using Web interface. The program does simultaneous video playback for event analysis from many cameras simultaneously. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
