The program has been designed as general software for surveillance cross platforms running at the same time with wireless and wired Internet webcams, Television-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the same form and controls on the local and apart pcs. Users view MPEG-4 coded video and have full management of the software through net that security workstation can be operated with no screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular configuration considerably improves reliability because all units act as autonomous applications. If one unit fails, other units continue running. For instance if the `record` unit fails, `watchdog` starts over it right away that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture using a `playback` module. The program makes `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be turned on by motion, human face detection, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance station as well as on distant workstation via Web interface. The program does simultaneous video playback for event analysis from many webcams at the same time. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
