The program has been created as general application for surveillance cross platforms working simultaneously with wireless and wired IP cameras, TV-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the similar appearance and functionality on the local and distant computers. Users see MPEG-4 coded video and have complete management of the software via net that surveillance workstation can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular structure considerably boosts reliability because all modules operate as autonomous applications. If one part freezes, other units continue working. For example if the `capture` part stops working, `watchdog` starts again it right away that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing video through a `playback` unit. The program does `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be constant or it can be started by motion, human face recognition, or by schedule. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on distant computer via Web interface. The software performs simultaneous video playback for event examination from many webcams at the same time. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected.
