The program has been created as common application for security cross platforms functioning simultaneously with wireless and wired Internet webcams, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the equal appearance and functionality on the local and remote workstations. Customers see MPEG coded picture and have complete management of the software through net that surveillance computer can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular configuration significantly boosts reliability because all units operate as independent programs. If one module stops working, other modules keep on running. For example if the `capture` part fails, `watchdog` restarts it instantly that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing video through a `playback` module. The software does `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be constant or it can be started by motion, human face recognition, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on distant server through Web interface. The program does synchronized video playback for event analysis from many cameras simultaneously. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected.
