The software has been designed as universal application for security hybrid platforms functioning simultaneously with wireless and wired IP webcams, TV-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the similar look and functionality on the local and remote workstations. Customers see MPEG-4 coded picture and have complete control of the software using net that surveillance station can be operated without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular structure extensively improves reliability because all components operate as autonomous applications. If one module freezes, other parts go on running. For example if the `capture` module fails, `watchdog` starts over it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture via a `playback` module. The program performs `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be started by motion, human face recognition, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on apart server using Web interface.
