DESCRIPTION

O filmie:
JC jest strażnikiem więziennym, zwyczajnym człowiekiem wiodącym monotonne życie. Jedyną ekstrawagancją na jaką sobie pozwala jest nauka tanga raz w tygodniu. Pewnego wieczoru, podczas zajęć poznaje Alice, radosną trzydziestolatkę. Następnego dnia JC spotyka Alice w więziennym pokoju widzeń. Alice pojawia się tam, żeby odwiedzić dwóch więźniów - męża i kochanka. JC staje się świadkiem i uczestnikiem barwnego życia kobiety, która żyje zgodnie z własnymi pragnieniami i wedle własnych reguł. Więzienie stanowi tu metaforę niemożliwej natury związków między mężczyznami i kobietami. Jedyną szansą na rozejm są pokoje widzeń.
Ostatnia część trylogii Fréderica Fonteyne traktującej o kobietach i miłości. Po "An Affair of Love" i "Gilles' Wife", oczami zakochanego strażnika więziennego oglądamy portret wolnej kobiety, która na wzór tanga akceptuje ograniczenia życia, aby tym bardziej je przekroczyć.
