DESCRIPTION
When a High School Spanish teacher, Will Schuester, becomes the director of the school's failing Glee club, New Directions, he hopes to be able to rejuvenate it. The club competes in the choir competition circuit. It's been called "a High School Musical for adults", the series follows the club and its mixture of oddball members as they try and restore it to its former glory. It is a musical comedy in which the eager and ambitious students not only compete to win the Nationals, but also have to deal with the tough and cruel realities of their school, McKinley High. At the same time, Will is trying to rejuvenate his failing love life whilst preventing the school's cheer leading coach Sue Sylvester from sabotaging the choir.

Will Schuester, professore di spagnolo alla William McKinley High School, vorrebbe riportare in auge il glee club, il gruppo di canto e ballo, ma questa attività extrascolastica non sembra destare l'interesse degli studenti. Schuester non demorde e riesce a raggruppare un gruppo diversificato di ragazzi assai talentuosi, considerati sfigati (in originale looser lett. perdenti) dagli altri studenti, dando vita così le Nuove Direzioni. In essi compaiono Rachel Berry, ragazza dotata ed estrosa ma piuttosto egocentrica, figlia di genitori omosessuali, Mercedes Jones, corpulenta ragazza di colore con manie di divismo, Tina Cohen-Chang, studentessa timida, balbuziente e dal look gotico, Kurt Hummel, esuberante ragazzo gay, appassionato di moda, Artie Abrams, un nerd chitarrista costretto sulla sedia a rotelle e Finn Hudson, un ragazzo popolare, semplice e appassionato di sport. Poco dopo si aggiungeranno le cheerleader Santana Lopez, Brittany Pierce e Quinn Fabray, e gli altleti Noah Puckerman, Mike Chang e Matt Rutheford. Nel corso della serie vengono raccontate le vicende dei singoli studenti e dei loro professori, e gli scontri tra il professor Schuester e la competitiva e temibile allenatrice delle cheerleader, Sue Sylvester, che non nasconde la sua preoccupazione quando vengono tagliati i fondi scolastici a discapito della sua squadra. Il glee club riesce a vincere le Provinciali e ha accesso alle Regionali, dove però arriva solo terzo. Il club rischia quindi di essere chiuso, come da accordo tra preside e Will Schuester, ma la coach Sue Sylvester si accorge che i ragazzi hanno talento e che, anche se non lo ammette, tiene a loro. Obbliga quindi il Preside Figgins a dare al club un altro anno per potersi rifare e vincere le Regionali. Durante la seconda stagione Matt cambia scuola e viene sostituito da Sam Evans, un belloccio muscoloso dislessico. Altri personaggi che entrano a far parte del cast di Glee sono Lauren Zizes, ragazza mascolina e grassoccia, dal look piuttosto kitsch, che intraprende una relazione con Puck, e Blaine Anderson, ragazzo membro del coro degli Usignoli, fidanzato di Kurt.

I watched one episode of Glee and I got hooked! I love this show! It is very enjoyable and at times very funny.I did put it off at first when I saw the episode but someone told me that it is quite good and there was a lot of hype surrounding the show, I decided to watch it.I love the music and have all the soundtracks on CD.I think this is a show that all people of all ages can relate to not just teenagers which is its target audience.It has drama and comedy in it.One thing that I find despite it being a happy show is the fact that the glee club has many members that don't feel good about themselves.I miss it already on the TV.
