That pregnancy later turns out to be a false alarm, unlike doc Roland's wife, who still insists on a divorce. Colonel Holden is promoted without public ceremony because of a terrorist alarm called on account of a second arms and munitions theft from the fort, same MO as on another base. Sergeant George Polarski can't handle being left by his wife Marilyn for lover Eddie because George's men taunt him with her adultery, which drives him to a desperate act.
