The program has been created as universal software for security cross platforms working simultaneously with wireless and wired IP cameras, Television-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the similar look and functionality on the local and remote pcs. Users see MPEG-4 coded picture and have complete control of the software via net that surveillance workstation can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular structure extensively improves reliability because all units proceed as autonomous applications. If one unit fails, other components keep on running. For example if the `record` unit fails, `watchdog` starts again it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video using a `playback` component. The program performs `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be turned on by movement, human face recognition, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance server as well as on remote workstation through Web interface. The program performs simultaneous video playback for event examination from multiple webcams concurrently. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
