10 JUL 2026 - Back up to full speed! Let's be honest: for the last few months, TorrentFunk was painfully slow. Pages crawled, searches dragged, and just loading the site tested everyone's patience. We hunted the problem down to our network and rebuilt it from the ground up — smarter caching, a much bigger and faster connection, and a lot of fine-tuning under the hood. The difference is night and day: the site now loads in a fraction of a second. No more waiting around. Thanks for sticking with us through the slow spell. Now go discover your funk!

DESCRIPTION
I was travelling up to London from Essex from age 11 to nearly 59 years old. It was something I had to do, was not a big fan, dirty, squashed on the dreaded Central Line, but as with most things in life, when it's gone you miss it. Started working from home, and now actually miss the daily routine, so this series in very interesting. Like in episode 2, "Mind The Gap" I know Embankment with well, but never realised that is the only platform I now hear that male voice.
Sinopsis by IMDB
Railway historian Tim Dunn (The Architecture The Railways Built) teams up with Siddy Holloway from the London Transport Museum to explore the disused parts of London's tube network, from abandoned stations to redundant tunnels and lifts, often hidden right under passengers' noses.
Episode 5: Thames Tunnel
No wonder the Thames Tunnel, which joins Rotherhithe to Wapping in east London and was the first tunnel in the world to be built under a river (it opened in 1843 for pedestrians only), is Tim Dunn’s favourite underground secret. As well as being a civil engineering marvel, there are some wonderful stories about it: for instance, after a flood that killed six workers, a grand banquet was held inside it to prove to potential investors that it was safe.
Siddy Holloway also explores Lambeth North, but if lift shafts and disused tunnels don’t thrill you as much as they do her, there are also some fabulous Tube posters.
