I wanted to download a collection of all licensed NES ROMS for US and EU. But it was harder then I thought. All the compilations I found wither had 100+ versions of the same game, or were mixed with unlicensed or Famicom games, or had ROMs that just didn't work. I just wanted the licensed English games. So, I spent a few hours making this. It contains all 677 licensed cartridges from the US and 35 from EU.
"But according to Wikipedia, there are 678 games licensed in the US.", I hear you saying. True, and I spend a lot of time looking for that missing game. Turns out, there is none. Short Order & Eggsplode! are two separate games, but share the same cartridge.
"But I thought there were 36 games released outside of the US. You only have 35.". True. But only 35 were released in EU. The missing, 36th game was only released in Hong Hong, and is the rarest NES cartridge with only around 10 copies known. It's a mahjong game, do you aren't missing out on anything.
All games work, all games have only one version. It's simple, it's efficient, it's complete. Enjoy.
The Super Mario/Duck Hunt/ World Class Track Meet games are here more then once, because they were released on different cartridges, and count as a separate one.
